Netease Sports reported on October 17:
In recent seasons, the NBA’s call for lifting the ban on marijuana has increased. Many players and coaches have talked about the beneficial side of marijuana in practical use. In fact, there are not a few people who can be exposed to marijuana.
In 2015, Cole had a back injury operation, but the operation was not very successful, resulting in many sequelae, including headaches, vomiting, etc. He also truce for some time in the 2016 and 2017 seasons. During the 2017 playoffs against the Trail Blazers, Barnes had to give Cole his marijuana.
"I can't imagine everything you experienced at the time. I don't want to cross the boundaries of players and coaches, but I still said,'Coach, let me get my bag quickly, I have something for you,'" Barnes said Said to Cole in the show.
"You couldn't sit in one position for more than two minutes at the time... I almost gave you marijuana that day. I really want to tell you that this can change everything."
The NBA prohibits players from using marijuana, but marijuana does have certain medical functions, such as pain relief. Many players have also publicly expressed their support for the medical use of marijuana, and with the opening of recreational uses of marijuana in many parts of the United States, in the future, perhaps the sports world will have new policies on marijuana restrictions.
It is worth mentioning that Cole has also expressed his recognition of the medical aspects of cannabis in the past.
